Overdraft fee. Not replaced
Just added overdraft protection 1 week prior to use. Overdraft $6.41.
If paid before 6pm the next day, no charges.
I deposited $40 the next morning and received a message no fee would be taken. Fee of $15.00 was taken.
When asked they said they have no record. My balance showed the did take the $15.00.

When called today, 9-8-25 to attempt to get issues resolved after 2 months of hearing please be patient while they complete enhancements & updates I asked the rep if there was a data breach and we're not being told she hung up on me!!!...After calling back and demanding a supervisor and presenting the same issues and data breach concerns the supervisor also had absolutely nothing to say, no answers, no help, and the *** also hung up!!! It's now an extreme concern that there has in fact been a data breach and they are attempting to cover it up!!!
I feel like it's time to pull the funds from an ATM, SHUT THE ACCOUNT DOWN AND GO TO A BETTER PERPAY SERVICE BECAUSE THIS IS A DEPLORABLE WAY TO TREAT THE PEOPLE WHO ARE THE REASON YOU GET PAID AND THE REASON THE COMPANY CONTINUES TO HAVE THE ABILITY TO REMAIN OPERATIONAL!!! I closed this account back in 2021 only to find out that it was in an active/inactive status with 7 cents left on the card despite it being 'closed.' They call it a spend down. What utter nonsense.
I will never get an account with these knuckleheads ever again. That explains why they kept sending me mail.

Their computer system was hacked, all my info changed and all my money transferred out of the account and now the thieves have all my personal information for loans and credit cards. I never imagined walmart could cause such financial hardship, stay away from walmart money card!
Google keeps charging me for game apps I've never had on my phone and Walmart takes at least 6 weeks to mail a new card. This has happened 3 times since September 2024 and I've lost hundreds of dollars to fraudulent activity.
I'm going to open another account at a local credit union.
I've just had it! They charged $40 over the past 24 hours for online gaming and I just barely found out because I was camping without cell service or internet!

I called and spoke with someone who said a charge was still pending but I still had the full 200 overdraft protection. I used maybe half of that after the phone call and now my account is blocked.
What about the other 100 that is still available? I think they offer the protection so you will spend the money so they can make money off you with the overdraft fees,.

Fraudulent charges
Thank you for following up. This situation has left me emotionally devastated.
I've been very emotionally drained and deeply saddened, still. So much so that my physical continues to be adversely affected.
Greendot Money Card has not attempted any resolution as of yet. And I have not been able to make myself contact them again.Another reoccurring insult from them is seeing multiple emails asking me to rejoin memberships.
Someone on multiple occasions hacked my Wal-Mart grocery account, changed my info and used my account to order groceries (some items I've never would purchase) and had them delivered to someone else, multiple times I said.
Then in August and September 2024 someone charged my GreenDot money card 6 times over $100.00 in groceries three times in a row on the same day for 2 months straight.
Don't you know Wal-Mart Money Card refuses to acknowledge that this was not my doing.
It is devastating hurtful. My only income is Social Security and it is direct deposit to the Wal-Mart Greendot Money Card.
Now I dislike everything about Wal-Mart.Don't.

Cancel s money card
I've called to cancel the Wal-Mart Money Card by Green Dot, and spoke with a representative. He told me that he had canceled the card and it would take up to 30 days to complete.
That was in January 2025. Today March 19 2025 I receive an email from Money Card statement for the month with a balance of what I owe. I couldn't log into the account because I don't have it anymore.
I refuse to set up account which I should not have. Their phone service is terrible when you have a problem.

I was given my route and account # so l can complete my order. I've always had to wait until my check arrived before I could order anything, thanks to Walmart, l can now order and make payments as l should be able to. With this card I'm able to even get gas after hours long as the pumps were on.
I'm not able to leave the house beings l don't have a car , WORKS FOR ME !

I've been waiting for over a week to try and get my money out of Walmart's website. They've completely shut down access to my money in their vault once I told them I was switching to a bank.
Just so you know, don't buy the card. They're completely inconsiderate and this has finally gotten to a point where I need my cash and they're ignoring me and making up stories.

Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with apology. They never called me or spoke to me but magically an email appeared that the person did actually use my link and my $50 was deposited. Still don't recommend them, had to post on a website to get a resolution and still no call or apology.
I'm done. I did go ahead and change my payroll details so that it doesn't deposit into that account anymore. They are a bait and switch operation. They are not going to honor the refer-a-friend incentive; they will tell you that your friend didn't click the link, even though you saw your friend click the link and then create an account through said link.
They will call you a liar and not give you your reward.
So, don't bother with that program. Don't get the card just for the $50, because you won't get it.

Walmart and GreenDot can not properly secure these cards and do care to
Purchased a pp card for 500.00 for my mother to take on a trip since she has no credit cards and didnt want to carry that much in cash.
Activated the following day, attempted to use the next morning and it declined.
Called CS immediately when they opened and the name on the card registered was not mine. Verified the number, the rep froze the card and referred to their fraud department.
Several days later with NO contact from anyone I revived an email from thefraud department saying their investigation concluded and the money is gone and they wont refund it stating I provided the number to a 3rd party.
Waitwhat? I have the card, the receipt and the packaging. The numbers were NOT given to anyone. Of course there was no contact info on the email.
I called and was told no one can help me and they wont give me any info about where the money went. Told me to call the police and hung up on me when I asked for a supervisor. Called again, asked for a supervisor, was transferred to the corporate office who told me again to call the police and they have no one else to speak to. Im sorry what?
